# Getting Started as a Volunteer

> This section will help you get started using your volunteer account on Nexus.

### Account Creation

    Visit the Nexus homepage by going to app.mynexus.io in your browser of choice (web or mobile)

  <Step title="Input Account Information">
    To create your account, you will need to provide your first name, last name, email, and a password.

    <Tip>
      **Safety Tip:** As an added measure of security, Nexus will require that your password meets certain criteria. Your password must be 8 characters long and include an uppercase character, special character, and a number. **Do not share this password with anyone.**

    The last step to creating your account is clicking the Sign Up button. You will be redirected to your dashboard.
